Skylands HP United is a travel soccer club located in Northern Sussex County. Travel soccer is competitive soccer played against like teams from other communities. SHPU is a member of New Jersey Youth Soccer that competes in the Morris County Youth Soccer Association (MCYSA.)
Travel Soccer is designed for players who have an interest and the ability to benefit from additional soccer training and to compete at a higher level of play. Because it is competitive, the program requires more time, effort, and commitment from both the player and parents. This is a commitment matched by the coaches and Board of Directors of FSC. From this shared commitment, your child's development as a soccer player should progress more rapidly than if they played only recreational soccer. To earn a position on a travel team, a player must have strong soccer skills and demonstrate proficiency in the game. In addition, they must be extremely dedicated to becoming a better player and must be willing to commit a great deal of time to the team. Teams play on both the fall and spring seasons with optional summer and winter training available.
Skylands HP United is a newly formed organization through the combination of the Skylands and High Point United Soccer Clubs. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is run by a team of volunteers from both clubs. The partnership between the two clubs allows for a more cohesive training environment within the High Point Regional High School community. While we are the feeder program for HPRHS, players from all over Sussex County are welcome to join Skylands HP United Soccer Club.
